Well I've heard the news from back in the lands of TJ and well, they aren't doin to good over there. On Saturday we lost 2. Kevin Frenock, A 18 year old college freshman passed away when his car struck a series of parked cars and a utility poll. Then Mr. Ken Giegerich, a long time TJ sports hero as we as kids looked up to him. They both will be missed.
Fast-forward to Connecticut now. We have moved the students into their selected housing arrangements and I couldn't be happier up here. I'm doing very well and having a blast with everyone. Nights are lonely and when I think of the folks back home. However, usually I fall alseep and wake up with something else exciting to do.
So, do people change when their surroundings do? No. Its a simple answer yes but I'm still the same person as I was back home. However up here in connecticut they don't know what hoagie, gum bands, mum, "cuz", yinz, or the pittsburgh penguins are. It sounds strange yes, but thats how it is. I have met some good friends up here, oh and yes i've been "hitting" on all the ladies. Found a good one however and we hit it off pretty well but we'll see where that takes us.....
till then,
signing out,
